3 Winners & Losers From WWE RAW (11/20)

The November 20th episode of RAW took place in Houston, Texas. It was the first episode of RAW following WWE Survivor Series last night. Here are 3 winners and losers from this week’s episode of RAW:

Braun Strowman (Loser)

Braun Strowman’s night started off just like Survivor Series ended last night. He interrupted the opening segment with Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, Kurt Angle and Jason Jordan. Strowman marched towards the ring and got right in Triple H’s face. Triple H backed down and made his way up the entrance ramp. Stephanie McMahon then announced that Jordan was going to face Strowman later in the night.

Strowman dominated Jason Jordan for a few minutes during their match. Jordan tweaked his knee injury and tried to retreat up the entrance ramp. Kane then showed up from behind Strowman and attacked him with a chair. Kane slammed the chair into Strowman’s throat while he was against the steel steps. Strowman refused medical attention and left the arena. It appears that Strowman slamming Kane through the ring last week on RAW was not enough to keep Kane down.

Samoa Joe (Winner)

Samoa Joe once again battled Finn Balor tonight on RAW. The two Superstars had another excellent match. Joe was able to lock in the Coquina Clutch and choke Balor out. Finn refused to tap out and the referee had to end the match because Balor passed out in the middle of the ring.

Joe has returned right back to dominance after making his return from injury. He is one of the most powerful Superstars on the RAW roster right now. It seems like it is only a matter of time before Joe finds himself in the hunt for a title on WWE RAW.

Dana Brooke (Loser)

Dana Brooke failed to qualify for the RAW women’s team last week because she became preoccupied with Asuka ringside. Dana slapped Asuka in the face, which led to Asuka booting Dana in the face and taking her out of the match. Asuka then was the reason that the RAW women’s team defeated SmackDown at Survivor Series.

Tonight on RAW, Dana Brooke faced Asuka in a match. Before the match, Dana Brooke had a vignette in which she claimed she found holes in Asuka’s game while studying her matches. Dana claimed that she would be the first to defeat Asuka but that wasn’t the case at all tonight on RAW. Asuka defeated Dana Brooke with ease and continued to show just how dominant she is.

Paige (Winner)

Paige finally made her WWE return tonight on RAW. She interrupted a Fatal 4-Way match between Mickie James, Bayley, Sasha Banks and Alicia Fox to determine the #1 contender for the RAW Women’s Championship. The crowd chanted “welcome back!” as Paige cut a promo on the entrance ramp. Paige announced that she didn’t come alone and Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose joined her in attacking the four Superstars in the Fatal 4-Way.

After beating down Mickie James, Bayley, Alicia Fox and Sasha Banks, Paige was interviewed by Renee Young backstage. Deville and Rose were by her side when RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss showed up. Bliss tried to make friends with the trio but wound up being subjected to a beatdown by Paige, Deville and Rose. Paige now has an entourage and will surely be vying for the RAW Women’s Championship in the near future.

Jason Jordan (Loser)

Jason Jordan marched down to the ring during the opening segment of tonight’s episode of RAW and challenged Triple H to a match. Jordan claimed that he was 100% healthy and ready for the challenge. That match didn’t wind up happening, as Stephanie McMahon announced that Jordan will have to face Braun Strowman tonight.

Jordan asked Kurt Angle backstage to cancel the match because he wasn’t completely healthy. Angle was dumbfounded by this because Jordan had claimed he was healthy earlier in the night. Jordan then told Angle that he was ready for the challenge and that he was the only man on RAW that could defeat Strowman. The audience collectively shared a chuckle at Jordan’s expense after he said he could defeat Strowman. Jordan asked for advice from Matt Hardy heading into his match against Strowman. Hardy said that Strowman is a monster among men and that tonight wouldn’t be Jordan’s night.

The only reason Jason Jordan didn’t get his ass kicked tonight was because Kane attacked Strowman during their match. Jordan actually looked like he was going to give up and run away before Kane showed up. Jordan was shown later during RAW backstage getting his knee iced by WWE’s medical staff. Kurt Angle showed up and Jordan apologized for letting Angle down. Angle ensured Jordan that he didn’t let him down and Jordan stated that Matt Hardy was right about Strowman.

Jordan didn’t get his match against Triple H and wound up looking weak the entire night. He wanted out of the match against Strowman and even asked his father to stop the match. Jordan somehow convinced himself that he would be able to put up a fight against Strowman, but was ready to run away when he realized he would have no shot. The only shining moment for Jordan tonight was when he slapped Strowman in the face. He then spent the next few minutes fighting for his life as Strowman tossed him around the ring like he was nothing.

Roman Reigns (Winner)

Roman Reigns was supposed to be a guest on Miz TV tonight, but wound up coming down to the ring with Ambrose and Rollins. This led to Reigns challenging The Miz to a match for the Intercontinental Championship. Bo Dallas said that The Shield would have to go through The Miztourage before they got a shot at the title. The Shield then beat the hell out of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel as The Miz looked on in horror from the entrance ramp. RAW GM Kurt Angle then made the IC Title match official for the main event of tonight’s RAW.

The Miz actually dominated Roman Reigns for the majority of the IC Title match. Sheamus and Cesaro ran down to the ring and distracted Reigns. This allowed The Miz to connect with the Skull Crushing Finale, but Reigns was able to kick out at two when Miz went for the cover. Ambrose and Rollins sprinted down to the ring and beatdown Sheamus and Cesaro. Reigns hit the Spear on The Miz and captured the Intercontinental Championship.

This is the first time in his career that Roman Reigns is the Intercontinental Champion. Ambrose and Rollins look poised to get their RAW Tag Team Championships back in the near future. If that happens, The Shield will once again be the most dominant squad on WWE RAW every week.
