3 Winners & Losers From WWE RAW (11/27)

The November 27th episode of WWE RAW aired live from Knoxville, TN. Here are 3 winners and losers from this week’s episode of RAW:

Rich Swann (Winner)

RAW GM Kurt Angle announced that there will be a series of matches to determine who will become the #1 contender for the Cruiserweight Championship. There was a Fatal 4-Way tonight and there will be another one next week. The winners of those matches will then face each other to determine the #1 contender for Enzo’s title.

Rich Swann faced Akira Tozawa, Noam Dar and Ariya Daivari in the first Fatal 4-Way match tonight. The fight quickly spilled out of the ring. Daivari and Dar worked together and Enzo was shown backstage rooting for them. Swann eventually picked up the victory via the Phoenix Splash and is now one step closer to becoming the #1 contender.

Cesaro (Loser)

Seth Rollins faced Cesaro tonight on RAW. Both Sheamus and Dean Ambrose were not at RAW tonight. Sheamus was away and Ambrose is enjoying his honeymoon with Renee Young. Rollins and Cesaro had a great back and forth match, but eventually it was Rollins who pulled out the victory.

After the match, Rollins announced that he and Ambrose were invoking their rematch clause for the RAW Tag Team Championships next week on RAW. Rollins stated that after next week, every member of The Shield will have gold around their waists. I think the odds of Ambrose and Rollins winning the titles next week are very high, so it is most likely going to be a rough couple of weeks for Cesaro.

Samoa Joe (Winner)

Samoa Joe has been dominant since returning from injury. Tonight was no different as he defeated Titus O’Neil with ease. Apollo Crews made the mistake of getting in Joe’s face after the match and Joe quickly locked him in the Coquina Clutch.

That wasn’t the last we would see of Samoa Joe tonight on RAW. He showed up and attacked Roman Reigns after his match with Elias. Joe locked Reigns in the Coquina Clutch and shouted that he was coming after Roman Reigns and his Intercontinental Championship.

It appears that Joe is done beating down the bottom of the RAW roster and will be feuding with “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns for the IC Title.

Sasha Banks (Loser)

Sasha Banks, Bayley and Mickie James were supposed to face Paige, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville tonight on RAW. That didn’t wind up happening as Paige, Rose and Deville beatdown Bayley and Mickie James backstage before the match even started. Sasha Banks was completely unaware of this and came down to the ring alone.

Paige, Rose and Deville came down to the entrance ramp for a promo. Paige stated that she was sick of being hounded on social media about her actions last week. Paige claimed that she was the biggest influencer in the women’s division and helped get the term “diva” out of WWE. Paige said that the group’s name was Absolution and the trio surrounded the ring. Absolution then attacked Sasha Banks and Paige hit the Rampaige on Banks. The trio then posed over Sasha Banks in the ring.

Elias (Winner)

Elias interrupted Roman Reigns’ promo to kick off this week’s episode of RAW. He was joined by Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas. Elias said that he wanted a shot at the Intercontinental Championship and Roman Reigns gave it to him. Before the match, Elias and The Miztourage put on a wonderful musical performance. It was Elias’ greatest concert since joining WWE.

Elias then went on to have an awesome match with Roman Reigns. Elias controlled the majority of the match and even kicked out of the Superman Punch. In the end, Reigns picked up the victory after connecting with the Spear. However, Elias showed that he could hang with Roman Reigns and the two Superstars stole the show tonight on RAW.

Finn Balor (Loser)

Jason Jordan could have also made this list as a loser, but Finn Balor deserves this spot even more. Kane faced Jason Jordan in the main event of RAW. Jordan got in some offense, but tweaked his knee injury after Kane threw him out of the ring. Jordan was then counted out, but Kane remained on the attack. Finn Balor interrupted and RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Kane promptly beat the hell out of Balor with a steel chair. Kane placed Balor’s head in the chair and climbed to the second turnbuckle. Braun Strowman came down to the ring and demolished Kane. Strowman slammed Kane’s throat into the steel chair and Kane retreated through the crowd as Braun posed in the ring.

Finn Balor was reportedly supposed to face Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble, but Vince McMahon pulled the plug on those plans because Balor wasn’t “over” enough with the WWE Universe. Well, Balor certainly isn’t going to get more popular after getting his ass kicked by a 50-year-old Kane for the second time in a row. Balor is now facing an uphill battle to return to relevancy in WWE. He should be in the hunt for the Intercontinental Championship right now, but instead he has been stuck in a terrible feud with Bray Wyatt and is now getting beaten down by Kane.
