WWE Hell in a Cell 2017 takes place this Sunday live on the wWE Network. SmackDown General Manager Shane McMahon will step inside the cell against Kevin Owens. The New Day will put their SmackDown Tag Team Championships on the line inside the cell against The Usos. Let’s take a look back at the 5 greatest Hell in a Cell matches of all time.

5Batista vs Triple H - Vengeance (2005)

This match lasted around 27 minutes and was much better than I thought it was going to be. Batista was the World Heavyweight Champion at the time and had won it from Triple H a few months earlier. Triple H hit the Pedigree during the match but Batista was able to kick out at the last moment. The finish to the match was great as well. Triple H tried to use the sledgehammer but Batista connected with the Batista Bomb to retain his title.

Discussion: There are a lot of other matches that could be on this list. The Undertaker had two awesome Hell in a Cell matches with Brock Lesnar. There is also the Hell in a Cell match at Armageddon 2000 between Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, Triple H, Stone Cold, The Rock and Rikishi. Who could forget Rikishi falling off the top of the cell and into the back of the pickup truck ringside? The Undertaker and Edge had a great Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam 2008. These were just the 5 Hell in a Cell matches I enjoyed the most. What are your favorite Hell in a Cell matches? Let us know in the comments below.
