5 More Interesting WrestleMania Opponents For Brock Lesnar Than Roman Reigns

Brock Lesnar defeated Braun Strowman at WWE No Mercy to retain his Universal Championship. Many were disappointed in the match, as it only went around 5 minutes and left a lot to be desired. It seems pretty obvious right now that Roman Reigns will wind up facing Brock Lesnar again at WrestleMania 34. If you are a die-hard Reigns fan, that sounds awesome. If you are not the biggest Roman Reigns fan in the world, you are probably getting tired of Roman Reigns in the main event. Here are 5 RAW Superstars that would make a more interesting opponent for Lesnar at WrestleMania 34:

Braun Strowman

Their match at No Mercy was basic and uneventful. I thought the build to the match was awesome and was expecting a WrestleMania caliber match. Vince McMahon may have somehow convinced himself that the No Mercy main event was WrestleMania-quality, but I think most would disagree. Having said that, I know Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar can have a much better match than the one we saw at No Mercy. I’d rather see them get another crack it, rather than Lesnar losing to Reigns at WrestleMania 34.

Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt is one of, if not the most charismatic and intriguing characters on WWE’s roster. Unfortunately, he has been a victim of terrible booking. The worst example of that was when he won the WWE Championship, he defended the title against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 33 in a match that maggots and worms were projected onto the ring. Wyatt lost the match and then faced Orton in a House of Horrors match at WWE Payback. That match may wind up being one of the worst matches of the year.

Bray Wyatt was then shipped to RAW during WWE’s Superstar Shake-Up. He has been locked in a meaningless feud with Finn Balor in the middle of the card. If WWE ever figures out how use a character like Wyatt, he would be an awesome opponent for Lesnar. The promos leading up to the match between Heyman and Wyatt would be must-see television.

Samoa Joe

Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe battled at the hilariously named Great Balls of Fire PPV. Samoa Joe built himself up as a credible opponent in the weeks leading up to the PPV and they wound up having an entertaining match. Samoa Joe is out with an injury he sustained during a match at a WWE live event with John Cena.

When he returns, I wouldn’t mind seeing him go after Lesnar again. The crowd was very into the Lesnar and Joe feud for Great Balls of Fire, I can’t imagine the incredible atmosphere it would be at WrestleMania 34 with these two monsters in the ring.

Finn Balor

Finn Balor is rumored to be Brock Lesnar’s next opponent. Balor was the first Universal Champion and had to relinquish it the next night on RAW due to injury. He never lost the Universal Championship and never got a shot at recapturing it.  It is David versus Goliath.  Finn Balor is the much smaller man, but can he use his powers as “The Demon King” to slay the beast. I’d love to see this match happen at WrestleMania 34, I just hope his feud with Bray Wyatt is over by then.

I’ve always thought that WWE has underused Cesaro. He is a freak-athlete that can do anything in the ring. At No Mercy, Cesaro had several teeth knocked up into his skull and finished the match. Not only did he finish the matcha, Cesaro, Sheamus, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins wound up putting on the best match of the night. Cesaro has proven himself in the ring over and over again and has just never gotten his moment.

Cesaro won the first ever Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30. He showed off his unbelievable strength by lifting Big Show up and throwing him over the top rope. I wouldn’t mind seeing Cesaro win the Royal Rumble next year in Philadelphia next year in similar fashion and then go on to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34.
