Ahmed Johnson Talks Goldust Kiss, Never Becoming WWE Champion, Jarrett

- Former WWE Superstar Ahmed Johnson was interviewed by David Diaz of The Wrestling Mania Show. Here are some highlights:

Jeff Jarrett: “I didn’t like working with him. He wasn’t like Shawn Michaels, he’d complain if you hit him too hard. He didn’t want to put anybody over, and on top of that, man, he was a racist son of a bitch. Really racist.”

Goldust kissing him: “He agreed to kiss my hand when we practiced it, but when we got out there. Man…. he kissed me harder than any female has ever kissed me. I’m talking your husband’s going to the military and he’s never coming home kind of kiss, and that just PISSED ME OFF.”

Never becoming WWF Champion: “I was going to face The Undertaker for the title. I found out through Vince Russo that we were gonna do that match, and he told me that some of the people at the booking table told him that the WWF were not ready for a black champion. Can you believe that shit? F**k that. More of that racist shit coming to surface. And there was a lot of it.”

Probably taking this with a grain of salt. Ahmed always seemed like a bitter guy who was only in business for himself. Also heard he injured a lot of guys in the ring, so maybe that was more of the reason he wasn’t champ than being black. Especially since they made The Rock champ like a year later. Just my 2 cents.

I also totally buy Ole Double J being a racist douche.

He did make R-Truth champion at one stage…

  • Boss Bonkey

I liked Ahmed in the ring but they guy could never stay healthy which is probably another factor he was never champ.

  • Nicholas Williams

I never enjoyed Johnson. really worked to stiff. And him not being WWF Champion has nothing to do with skin color. He sucked.

    I hate racist

He’s complaining about racism but he appears to be a homophobe. It wasn’t like Goldust stuck his hand down his pants or anything. Hell wrestling is partly acting the better the acting the better the show.

Sounds just a wee bit bitter…

Ahmed was a good, solid mid card guy but I agree he wasn’t good enough to become the top guy. The was at the time when rival WCW had the best mid card in the business but WWE’s main event was much better – Bret Hart, HBK, Undertaker, British Bulldog worked wwe title main events etc.

he was just mid card player with no promo skills champion? give me a break
