Backstage News On Jeff Jarrett’s TNA Resignation: Is It A Work?

Posted by Matt Boone December 24, 2013 6 Comments

Jeff Jarrett’s TNA resignation announcement apparently caught many by surprise. As we noted recently, Jarrett had been taking a bigger management role and extended agent work following the departure of Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff from the company, which makes this announcement even more interesting.

Nobody in TNA is talking as if there were any kind of issues involving Jarrett at the last set of television tapings, and it appears that things are “business as usual.”

TNA sources who are normally “in the know” were also caught off guard by the announcement, and aren’t entirely ruling out the possibility that this is a work. At the same time, that is basically speculating based off of the fact that nobody seems to know much of anything about what caused him to resign out of the blue.

Hope it is a work to get him back on tv.

how stupid would that be? backstage guy although it’s double j in a work just for the iwc? if this would be a work they would probably had him on tv at least 1 or 2 month straight…

I dunno they may mention it on Impact! saying thanks to him for all these years. It was on their website that he left. They might do it tomorrow or after his two week notice is up and he reveals why he left if he did in fact leave. The reason he left could be brought into the storyline. TNA has used twitter in their storylines before.

Yes. I hope this is a work.

It’s possible that TNA is fooling all of us and actually still have AJ Styles, Hulk Hogan, etc under contract and this is just a big work?

I wouldn’t mind this being a long story arc for TNA’s 2nd show or JJ’s own organization/show that will have his own people or people that leave TNA for his organization. Either an invasion angle or it could be Between Dixie & JJ fighting for complete ownership. IDK, but I do hope that its a work.
