Dixie Carter Responds To Criticism Against Hulk Hogan

Speaking to Fight Club Chicago, TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter defended Hulk Hogan against critics and explained what he means to her organization.

“I think people think he’s just showing up and collecting some big fat paycheck and it couldn’t be further from the truth. This guy, this legend in our business, truly surpasses the word wrestling itself. He is so immersed in our business and helping us grow our business on days he’s not even on shows. He’s driving an hour and a half to sit in on our agents’ meetings and help working with agents and the talent on the night of the show. If we have a pay-per-view and he’s not on it, he’s there. He’s working his tail off,” Carter said.

“And then you have, what does Hulk Hogan bring to a company such as ours and the doors it opens and the visibility it gives and that’s everything. He’s making business calls for us, he’s talking to advertisers, he’s showing up and working Viacom stuff. He’s as vested as you can possibly be and I think he will always be known for so many big big things throughout his career. I am hopeful that this period of his life, even when he’s not in the ring wrestling will be one that fans are so proud of how much he’s giving back to this sport and how much he’s giving back to this sport and how he’s helping these young guys grow and what he’s doing for our industry.”

Carter also discusses Kurt Angle, acquiring mixed martial star King Mo and more. The audio interview is available at Sportstownchicago.com/fightclub.

What a naive idiot, to not even realize that he and Bitchoff are both running the company into the ground. If they REALLY were helping…ratings would be going up, people would be interested, and less people would be talking shit (especially TNA’s own roster, you know you’re in a bad place when your roster has no faith in the product because of Hogan stepping on everyone’s toes). She is blind, and will continue to be blind until Hogan bankrupts her business.

All anyone has to do is look at ratings before Hogan’s arrival and after Hogan’s arrival and that pretty much speaks for itself.

Anyone who wants to see how truly idiotic Dixie is should watch the locker room speech she made to her wrestlers where she reamed them out for questioning her every move, told them to start ‘swinging for the fences’, etc, that she had the nerve to broadcast on national television (in the fall of 2009). Needless to say, I’m sure it embarrassed the entire TNA locker room. With that in mind, it’s amazing even in this situation that she managed to have an ounce of political correctness.

i love how dixie says `’he’s a legend in our business”… the only reason dixie got into wrestling is that she has a rich daddy! what does she know about the wrestling business?? i have no problem with someone with money trying to enter a new business and help it – but what has he done to make it a viable competitor to WWE? Granted, it’s a big ask, but decent storylines, and better production values may go a long way… take the cash hogan and flair and garret are making and invest in better production. Get some decent PR (not that of has beens), and country singing hicks that no one has ever heard of.

wow reading this really reminds me of how stupid ditzy carter really is hogan is making the product better i laugh at that tna’s production value has went up but that isnt what tna needed and these stupid backstage segments after matches where the wrestlers talk about the match sucked. then they have the audicity to make garrett bitchoff look like he’s some super ass whooping machine in these stupid training session videos the best part of tna is the womens division which as of late has turned to garbage. i read the other day his daughters coming there and guess what she well get tv that they could use to promote the product with great matchs but know we will get another spoiled who couldnt make it with out using there fathers name to soil a once promising product meanwhile aj styles kaz christopher daniels samoa joe gunner jeff hardy and austin aries work there asses off and guess what hulk hogan who probably makes more than all of them combined gets credit for helping them grow as a company the company isnt growing its getting worse there losing talent(black machismo shelly and matt morgan)and there is gonna be more how long before wwe notice joe aries or trys to resign jeff hardy or bring in guys like saban who well jump because they always go unnoticed including aj who has already comteplated quitting and even sting is sick of things i bet next wrestlemania wwe well give him an offer so that dream match can happen and stings old how many more big paydays does he have left and the send off wwe would give him would be huge because alot of the higher ups there respect sting and have been trying for years to bring him in tna is set to lose big talent an lose them soon and there lack of devolping talent cause tv time to the hogans the bitchoffs and flair has sucked a huge hole in there budget as well the people i fill bad for are the fans who have loved tna for years to see it suck so bad now but listen to ditzy carter hogan deserves credit and i think she does to

“I think people think he’s just showing up and collecting some big fat paycheck and it couldn’t be more accurate. This guy, this fool in our business, truly ruins the word wrestling itself. He is so uninterested in our business and opposes helping us grow our business on everyday is is employed. He wastes money getting first class tickets instead of driving an hour and a half to sit in on our agents’ meetings and does not help with agents and the talent on the night of the show. If we have a pay-per-view and he’s not on it, he’s fu*king bischoff in his ass. That’s the only time he’s working his tail off.”

This just proves that Hogan is DA MAN!

A living legend, the father that made wrestling.
