Full Details On NXT’s Championship Tournament

As previously reported, WWE NXT will be crowning it’s first ever NXT Champion in the coming weeks. At Thursday night’s tapings from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, an 8 man “Gold Rush Tournament” began to crown the first NXT Champion.

The 8 participants include:

  • Bo Dallas
  • Richie Steamboat
  • Leo Kruger
  • Jinder Mahal
  • Seth Rollins
  • Drew McIntyre
  • Michael McGillicutty
  • Justin Gabriel

The first 2 rounds of matches took place Thursday night, with the finals set to take place at the next NXT tapings later this month.

      I agree with the release Mahal, but Khali?!? Sin Cara would never be a good cruiserweight champ, but they should bring the title back. and Are you fucking kidding me?!?     So first nxt sort of rips of tna’s x division title design and now they are copying tna’s bfg series with there own little tournament. Remember not so long ago when tna was copying what wwe was doing? Tables are turning.

        I wasn’t saying tna wasw the first. But tna started a tournament and all of a sudden nxt decides to have they own tournament. Wwe is now copying tna and it used to be the other way around.
