Impact Wrestling Rating Declines Despite “#August1Warning” Promotion

The Thursday, August 1st edition of TNA Impact Wrestling on Spike TV scored a final cable rating of 1.03, down from last week’s 1.05, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Despite the heavy socal media promotion centered around the “#August1Warning” mystery-man, Impact Wrestling declined five percent in overall viewership.

Impact Wrestling this past Friday averaged 1.246 million viewers, down from the 1.314 million viewers the show averaged last week.

      The use of the word “despite” confuses me here.

      The reason plain and simple is that the #August1Warning was the worst reveal in all of wrestling history. TNA needs to some of these names that are free agents right now instead of bringing in these mma dudes.

      How about giving real wrestlers their paychecks back instead of freeing up enough money to buy mma stars from years ago that no wrestling fan will care about. The only thing rampage should be thinking about is if he will ever fat a ateam sequel. And Tito should be wondering if the iceman will ever let him tag along and be famous.

      i wonder if ortiz will be allowed to refer to himself as the peoples champion in TNA.

      I bet the whole thing is a deal with Belator just to promote the fight. They probably aren’t paying them much of anything and after the fight they will be gone and not seen again
