— The Pilot, based in North Carolina, has a story about the drug charges that Jeff Hardy is facing.
The case continued on Wednesday when Jeff’s lawyer, Jim Van Camp, asked for time to have a drug treatment assessment conducted. He said that this was an option under consideration and Hardy had not yet been assessed as needing treatment.
The district administrator for the 19-B Judicial District Sentencing Services Program, Becky Carlson, has just become involved with the case.
She said to the paper, “I’ve just started to work with Mr. Hardy within the past month I have to have time to formulate my plan, do a background assessment and put a treatment plan in place.”
When asked how much treatment is needed for Hardy, Carlson responded, “Twenty-eight days,” and said she should have completed her assessment by June.
