John Cena Update: Will He Appear On TV Before Hell In A Cell?

Posted by Matt Boone October 17, 2013 4 Comments

The word in WWE is that John Cena will not be appearing live in person on any WWE televised programming until the October 28th edition of WWE RAW. Cena will make his live return with the company at the WWE Hell In A Cell pay-per-view on Sunday, October 27th, and return to WWE television the next Monday night.

As far as Cena’s role when he returns, many have questioned if he will be on RAW or SmackDown, since he is challenging for Alberto Del Rio’s World Heavyweight Championship in his return match, and the World Heavyweight Championship is seen more as a SmackDown-brand title, whereas the WWE Championship is seen more as a RAW-brand title. The plan, as of right now, is for Cena to appear on both RAW and SmackDown following the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view, leading up to the Survivor Series pay-per-view in November. Following the Survivor Series event, Cena is scheduled to go on the road for WWE live events, but only appear on television on RAW on Monday night’s.

i just hope john cena at least return with a new theme song i dont expect him to return as a heel but at least they change that awful theme song he comes out with every time since 2005

it doesn’t matter, because even if cena changes his theme song or keeps it, that is still going to piss people off. what people are still really mad and annoyed about is that when randy orton was shaving his head and was clean shaven and looked how he did in WWE’s new Raw commercial….he wasn’t allowed to kick ass on and defeat john cena for bullying him and other people in wwe. that should be allowed.

It is not up to WWE to change a wrestler’s theme song. That is something the Wrestler whether male or female has to do. Take CM Punk for example he changed his theme song when he came back to his best in the world theme. If you want Cena to change his theme his gimmick would need to change too. Sting changed his gimmick a lot in WCW and even some with TNA but the character side of him in terms of face paint and hair color were noticeable changes. When he came up in WCW he had the Bleached Blonde look and cut hair and had different colored face paints. His animal of choice character wise has always been the same. There for a while Sting had the Red, Black, and White face paint in TNA for a while. He had a joker type gimmick in TNA and his face paint showed it too.
So if Cena needs a change it needs to be more then just his wwe theme song. Heck Kane has changed his stuff every once in a while too. First Mask, then no mask and now back to his mask even if the song never changed. It all depends upon the wrestler tho.
