Japanese wrestling star Kenta has officially signed with WWE and will begin wrestling for NXT this summer.

The announcement took place at a signing ceremony at Saturday’s WWE Live Event from Osaka, Japan, with WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan presiding.

Triple H told WWE.com,  “Kenta is an incredible performer who brings the crowd to its feet when he steps into the ring. WWE’s signing of Kenta reflects our continued dedication to creating a diverse roster that appeals to our global fan base.”

Kenta said,  “I am humbled to join WWE’s NXT division and look forward to honing my craft with the global leader in sports-entertainment.”

Kenta will relocate to Orlando, Florida, where he will train at WWE’s state-of-the-art Performance Center “to enhance his talents both athletically and creatively.”

I sincerely hope that you’re right… but I doubt it.

If any one is old enough to remember this looks like another taka michinoko forgive my spelling tiger Ali sing situation let’s hope he doesn’t end up like those guys

Triple H will make him a jobber in no time. Sorry Kenta, you’re gonna be going from being known in Japan to “we hardly knew you” in WWE.

Given how Triple H was responsible for the signings of Kharma & Sin Cara (Mistico) I don’t think he would want to be know as a guy who dropped the ball on one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Japan on top of signing two previous wrestlers who essentially had terrible runs in the company..

hopefully they use KENTA for his talents, and not just treat him like Tajiri, Yoshi, and Kaientai. KENTA’s too good to be another jobber to Rusev and the other these Heavyweights. Hell, I’ll even b mad if they job him to Bo Dallas.
