Kurt Angle Issues An Apology for Threatening CM Punk, Then Continues Rant

- Kurt Angle issued an apology for threatening CM Punk after the WWE Champion labeled TNA an “indy” promotion during a appearance at Chicago’s Comic Con on Saturday.

“I apologize to TNA and WWE fans for my comment,” Angle wrote. “I don’t expect Punk to apologize to TNA, but I’m sorry. Respect 4 The Biz.”

“I didn’t apologize to Punk. Only the WWE (and) TNA fans. Punk disrespected TNA. He Has a lot to learn about fame and responsibility.”

- Kurt Angle has continued to rant on CM Punk despite claiming he has put his earlier comment to rest.

Angle made several tweets, before deleting all of them. Angle claimed that he could “take out” John Cena in 45 seconds, and that a match between him and Punk would last only 30 seconds. Here is one of Angle’s most recent tweets towards punk.

@RealKurtAngle
Put It to Rest. Angle vs Punk will Happen. Tna or Wwe. I Hope Tna. We’ll See. U tough Punk?

Angle also stated that TNA was not an “Indy company” because he made more money than Punk, who has remained silent.

    3 things to describe Kurts Angle’s actions on tweet:
    1.He was sober when he issued that appoligy.
    2.Later he got drunk, and continued.
    3. He has..a broken freaking neck!… Naw just kidding, he wants attention.

    kurt angle..would you please shut the hell up..!! and get back to your ‘real’ retirement homw called TNA..!

    I wish he’d just shut it. Punk is making more money than him, Punk is selling out arenas, Punk is carrying the best wrestling company on the planet and Punk is just more entertaining to watch. While Punk’s time in WWE will be remembered in history, Angle’s run in TNA will sink in obscurity.

      I’d bet TNA are paying Angle pretty well for his work there, it would definitely be up there and maybe more than what Punk gets.
      Would like to see Angle in WWE again but sadly it doesn’t look like that’ll be soon.

    What’s earning more money than Kurt got to do with it? NOTHING!. Does it mean Punk is the better wrestler? NO!. Does working for the biggest wrestling promotion on the face of gods green earth mean you must be a better wrestler? NO!. I like Punk, he’s good to watch in the ring and always has been, but all he’s done by slating TNA as “indy” has made him a hypocrite. He loved his time on the smaller promotions, which he can’t deny, and if it wasn’t for his time in Ring Of Honor, he’d not be where he is today. Right now, all Punk reminds me of is the Mississippi, He’s got a big mouth. He needs a large bottle of shut the hell up. If it wasn’t for smaller independent promotions, we wouldn’t have the stars in the larger ones, as there would be nowhere for them to develop or learn. Few wrestlers ever jump straight to the top. Even the big goofball Hogan had to start somewhere, just like Sting or most others you can name. Punk needs to drop this and drop it now. Personally, i’m surprised someone at WWE hasn’t told him to drop it, as it’s doing no good. As for a one on one against Kurt, i’m fairly sure Punk would win, but take Kurt back a few years, when he was younger and more or less injury free, and he’d shut Punk up quite easily. One thing most don’t realise, is Kurt can do it for real, where Punk has always been just an entertainer.

    Well what if Chael Sonnen taught CM Punk some things and Kurt didn’t respect CM Punk only to have Punk surprise Angle to make him tap!!! Oh it could happen! Angle should have made more money, Angle had won an olympic gold medal and started in the WWE as a big name. Punk made his name through “paying his dues” as the old guys would say. But I respect CM Punk way more for the simple fact he’s doing this for the passion of it. CM Punk will say he grew up a fan of wrestling. Angle didn’t grow up a fan and just did it for the simple fact to collect a check. I LOVE how Punk had Howard Finkel introduce him for that nostalgic feel of the old days. Angle could stay in TNA for all I care. And when Vince buys the video catalog of TNA, then Vince can say he has all the wrestling matches Kurt has been in as well as Jeff Hardy, & the Dudley Boyz.
