Magnus Starring in Aladdin, Tessmacher Sick, Gutcheck News

- Miss Tessmacher has been very sick as of late. She noted on Twitter she’s on prescription medication that she has to take four times a day.

- TNA will have a Gutcheck Challenge for potential roster members on this Saturday 8/18 in Ottumwa, IA and 9/8 in Gainesville, GA.

- The August 2nd episode of Impact Wrestling is now online at SpikeTV.

- Magnus has joined the cast of the Aladdin theater production, which will run for thirteen shows at the Norwich Theatre Royal in the U.K. from December 18th, 2012 to January 18th, 2013. Magnus will be playing the role of the Genie in the show.

    I love how none of the Gutcheck winners have been seen since getting their contracts, its a shit idea anyway, why not just introduce these new wrestlers like normal and give them a decent gimmick. But then again this is the company that has Tazz on commentary….

    In theory, the Gut Check concept is fine…but in practice, I can’t see it lasting. Like China said, why don’t they just introduce new wrestlers the traditional way? Also, the TNA roster is bloated enough as it is; talent is being cut left and right in an effort to save cash…how is constantly introducing new workers going to help the situation? Already, three Gut Check contestants have been accepted into TNA (Alex Silva, Taelor Hendrix and Sam Shaw), and we haven’t seen anything of them since. Already, Gut Check has devolved into gimmickry (with the Joey Ryan angle and the Sam Shaw beat-down), which is usually indicative of it not lasting much longer.

    Hell, Devon was supposed to defend his TV Title every week, and TNA have already screwed THAT up!
