Mick Foley Undergoing Back Surgery, Post-SummerSlam Comedy Show

- Mick Foley revealed during his recent comedy tour in the UK that he postponed back surgery to be at the event and would be undergoing the surgery in early September.

- Speaking of Foley, he’ll be hosting a “Post-Summerslam Jam” comedy show immediately following SummerSlam at the Improv in Los Angeles. The show starts at 9:30 PM and 50% of all ticket sales will be donated to the RAINN charity. WWE talent is expected to attend.

- During the Olympic gold medal boxing match between China and Thailand, one of the commentators joked that the fight “turned into a WWE-type match.”

- Variety.com has an article up looking at WWE’s new Saturday Morning Slam television show, which debuts later this month on August 25. The article notes that WWE is looking to hook younger fans into the product, as well as recoup rights fees and advertising revenue after WWE Superstars and NXT were taken off TV.
