– Tonight’s WrestleMania 28 on-sale celebration in Bayfront Park, Miami, Florida will take place from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and HHH and Shawn Michaels are now confirmed for the party. Also in attendance to sign autographs will be Rey Mysterio, Kelly Kelly, The Bella Twins, Rosa, Sgt Slaughter and Jimmy Hart.
– NBA player Enes Kanter spoke with The Salt Lake Tribune about his love for WWE this week and a possible career in the ring: “Yeah, I’ve been to wrestling three or four times. [...] It was great. I’m a huge WWE fan. You know my favorite is Undertaker. It was just great. Maybe, I was just thinking, after my basketball career I can be a pro wrestler.”
– Over the next six months WWE Studios will be releasing the final three movies that were part of the “new business model”. This model has been dubbed the “straight-to-DVD model.” Regarding the future of WWE Studios, Vince McMahon said during yesterday’s conference call that “there is an adjustment and an ongoing evaluation with this category.”
WWE Studios hasn’t had a wide theatrical release since 2009′s 12 Rounds, which ended a streak of four wide released movies spanning over three years. Three of the four films were profitable, the most being Kane’s See No Evil, which was made for only $8 million and had a large profit margin.
