More Reasons For WWE Removing “Wrestling”

According to The Wrestling Observer, WWE’s plans for their own television network is one of the main reasons for the no-“wrestling” re-branding move with the idea being that the company does not want its own network viewed as simply a “pro wrestling channel.” WWE plans to air new scripted programming in addition to back episodes and matches that the company has in its library. The channel would also air shows like NXT and Superstars.

Apparently WWE is using The Yankees Entertainment and Sports (YES) Network as a template/example channel for its new network.

This is something Vince McMahon has wanted for years, and it looks like the moves are being made to make it happen in the near future. We’ll have all the latest on this story here on 24Wrestling.com
