He burned Vince really really badly when he left in 1994. There is still a lot of bitterness there. WWE produced a Macho Man DVD in 2009 but there was no bio and it featured the announcing ‘talents’ of Matt Striker. Goes to show who you need to be nice to if you want your legacy in the business to remain intact.

If Vince can forgive Eric Bischoff and Stone Cold Steve Austin and Rock. He can forgive Macho man.

Oh it is definitely possible, the one thing I’ve learned watching wrestling is to never say never. We never thought we’d see Hulk Hogan in WCW, Eric Bischoff on RAW, Bret Hart back in the WWE after the screwjob, or Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels forgive each other. There have been no rumblings though by Savage about wanting to get into the hall or even having an interest in talking to Vince.

Essentially the fallout happened in 1994 when he left WWE without so much as saying goodbye and signed with WCW. McMahon was stunned, and said that he thought Savage was the Babe Ruth of their company and would never leave. Years later he was still forbidding people to mention the name Randy Savage in his presence. Savage basically feels his wrestling days are behind him and has felt this way since his short run in TNA in 2004-2005. So he may have no desire to be a part of the business.
