Push to Make RAW More Edgy, Possible Date for WM 30 Announcement, More

- We noted before that The Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana is a front runner to host WrestleMania 30 in 2014. There’s some speculation within WWE that they will make the announcement at the 2013 Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on February 17th, from the New Orleans Arena, which is adjacent to the Superdome.

- WWE officials are looking to be more edgier with RAW. The feeling is that Vince McMahon isn’t behind the new push but obviously is on-board with it. Vince realizes that numbers are down and it’s said that he is open to suggestions.

With the low ratings, WWE officials want to put out a product that’s a little different than what we’ve seen over the past year or so. We can also expect to see more wrestling-heavy WWE programming.

I got a suggestion, Vince. How about more wrestling on a wrestling show?

    • Crowley 703

Yay !!! make it more attitude eraish !!

    • Rhaps

They don’t need to go back to Attitude Era more like they need more wrestling going on like the article said. And fire those damn soap opera writers they can’t write “wrestling” shows and they know it.

although raw needs to improve which is definitely a good thing, trying to recapture the attitude era isn’t going to work for 2 main reasons. Firstly, whatever they try will be compared to the attitude era and secondly, WWE just doesn’t have the same level of talent that the attitude era had. But it will be interesting to see which direction they go.
