The fan who attacked Randy Orton at the WWE live event in Cape Town, South Africa on Tuesday night is 20-year-old independent pro wrestler Tshepo Sekhabi, who works under the ring name “Jozi The Wrestling Machine.”

Sekhabi spoke to South African website ENCA.com following the incident (which you can view video footage of here) to discuss his reason for jumping the ring, as well as his physical condition after receiving a legitimate kick to the face from the WWE Superstar.

“I just don’t like Randy Orton,” Sekhabi said. “This was an opportunity for me, so I got up there and made a name for myself.”

Contrary to previous reports, Sekhabi was never formally arrested, but instead was banned from the building for five years.

WWE was asked whether or not Orton would apologize to Sekhabi, who suffered a black eye and swollen face as a result of Orton’s kick, and a company representative offered the following statement:

“Randy Orton was the victim in this incident and suffered an injured groin.”
