- Former TNA star Jesse Sorensen has launched a fundraiser project on GoFundMe.com to help raise $600 for an upcoming bodybuilding show in Tampa. Sorensen accused TNA President Dixie Carter of making false promises. Here’s what he wrote on the fundraiser page:

“My name is Jessy Sorensen(Jesse Sorensen) I am a former professional wrestler for TNA Impact Wrestling seen every thursday night on SpikeTV. On Feb.12th 2012 during a live match on pay per view vs Zema Ion I suffered a sever neck injury sustaining a broke C-1 vertebrae & herniated C-5 & C-6. After a long recovery process & being promised by the President of TNA Impact Wrestling TNA Dixie Carter I would always have a job with her company, I recently was released from my current contract & shown that those promises were false. During my time away from the ring I decided to pursue bodybuilding & have been prepping for the Hurricane Bay bodybuilding show in Tampa, FL on Oct.5th,2013 but now due to my recent released I will have to drop out of my show. A friend of mine told me about this site and if anyone would like to help and contribute I would be so grateful and appreciate any donations. Thanks and hopefully I can find something I love just as much as I did Wrestling.”

  • Not Chris Jericho

Freaking TNA..they’re starting to look worse and worse from a public relations stand point. I wish Paul Heyman still had a wrestling company. Many talents wouldn’t get paid sometimes, but he’d never pull the crap that TNA or WCW do/did. Heyman paid Tazz the whole time he was out with a broken neck, even going as far as not eating for days on end to make sure he had the money to support the guy.

I always cringed whenever I read about how Dixie was so concerned over Jesse, and that she’d take care of him.
I always maintained that her ‘mother-hen’ act was a joke – and lo and behold, here is more proof of that.

  • Poor Jesse

Boo Hoo. Wrestlers get hurt and killed in the ring. It is the performers in the ring knowingly taking these risks. How is this TNA or Dixies fault? He was a young kid who went out and took a hit from a botched spot. Where’s the Zema Ion hate? It was a good call to cut him business wise.

    • Wrestling Jesus

It is bad business ethics. Wrestlers are self-employed contractors with no unions or any official organisation. They put their life on the line in the name of entertainment and if no one else is looking out for them, their company should. Even Vince has looked after his talent. Droz, Hall, X-pac have been supported by Vince through illness, injury or rehab.

Dixie has no knowledge of the business or any appreciation for what these incredible athletes do. She’s fucking Dixie by name and Dixie by nature.

So what? Dixie’s ment to have this guy working for the company for the rest of his life? Give me a break Jesse, you should always have other options available, you pussy.
