Tito Ortiz vs. Rampage Confirmed For Bellator PPV, #August1Warning Spoiler?

Posted by Matt Boone August 1, 2013 4 Comments

It was just announced on the Bellator MMA event on Spike TV that Quinton “Rampage” Jackson would not be fighting Roy Jones Jr. in a boxing match on pay-per-view at the end of the year as rumored. Instead, it will be Rampage in his home, the cage, fighting former friend and training partner, and the newest surprise addition to the Bellator MMA roster, Tito Ortiz.

Ortiz, who was retired, has signed a deal to fight for Bellator MMA, his first MMA home outside of the UFC in his career. While unconfirmed, it is possible Ortiz signed a joint deal with TNA Impact Wrestling, as the MMA star has worked for the organization in the past.

Could Ortiz be the #August1Warning mystery-man? Find out on Thursday’s edition of TNA Impact Wrestling on Spike TV.

ok first off im sick of tna bringing in these mma guys just for a filler they have no business being in a 20×20 ring outside of the mma world there not pro wrestlers not trained as pro wrestlers have no intention of doing this seriously its like bringing in jay leno for hog wild in wcw 1998 when him a ddp faced hogan and someone else. tna one question why is jackson and tito being shown on tna tito tried wrestling he wasnt good enough rampage has a great look but everyone knows he cant do this. wrestling is too hard for him to do mma guys cant work 300 days a year like we do they only work 2 days out of the year. give me a break tna

It wouldn’t surprise me if Ortiz was the “big reveal” like all their non-wrestling signings as of late, another who’ll put all their attention on MMA while eating up TNA’s profits, tv time, resources etc. Dear TNA, take what money you have and put it to GOOD use.

Hope it’s not Tito Ortiz this is probably just the dirt sheet or TNA saying it so when someone else shows up people would be more surprised…..hopefully.

I’m wont be surprised if it was Ortiz he’s worked for tna in the past. I cant believe Bellator signed him. I guess TNA/Bellator is where old wrestlers/MMA fighters go to die. A business partnership made in heaven.
