TNA wants to copy WWE in every way possible, unfortunately Dixie, you fall short and come across as a pathetic and amusing derivative. If you had any business sense at all you would understand that WWE has the “Sports Entertainment” market cornered at this point. You have to offer a product that is different but regardless of your claims you refuse to do so. You actively pretend to listen to the fans but yet you continue to put out sub par programming that fails in imitating your biggest competitor. Give up the Hall of Fames, give up the live episodes, and give up the gut check, Brooke Hogan, and all the other bullcrap you tried to force down the throats of the people that still try to support your product.
A good start would be to actually put on a wrestling show. It doesn’t have to be three hours, live, or in HD to bring in fans. It just has to be compelling and different. That is why there was once a market for ECW, they didn’t try to copy anyone. All they did was offer an alternative and in turn they earned an audience. If you would provide the fans with something unique but yet familiar you will be able to put on a good show, as far as bringing back the old fans it’s probably too late for that. Let wrestlers be their selves. Joey Ryan was good start but TNA found a way to screw that up. Maybe if you had decided to push CM Punk instead of Jeff Jarret years ago when you had the chance you wouldn’t be in this boat today. Learn from your past mistakes and start pushing real talent. Kurt Angle, Sting, Hogan, all that has reached the end of it’s rope. Even the Dudley Boyz, RVD, and Meth Hardy need to think about stepping aside. I want to see Joey Ryan, The Briscoe Brothers, and talented female wrestlers like Sara Del Rey to name a few; and for God sakes stop tweeting everything. Bring back the element of surprise. People like things that were “not supposed” to happen. That’s what made RAW and Nitro so shocking in the 90′s. It was because no one knew 6 months ahead of time what was going to happen. I don’t know Dixie, you claim you listen to the fans, maybe you should stop telling us you do and start showing us you do.

      Sincerely,

      a wrestling fan.

They are not copying Vince Mcmahon, believe it or not he wasnt the one who came up with the Hall of Fame idea, it was done by the NWA years before he even did it. You WWE fans need to realize something, Vince is the biggest copier of them all, he will tell you that himself. If he hadn’t copied ECW and WCW he wouldnt be in business today, thats a cold hard fact.

        • GhostDistortion

Of course he is. I am also not a WWE fan. I agree that WWE copied everything, but the fact is that they do have the Sports Entertainment market cornered. TNA needs to stop all efforts to become sports entertainment.

          • tedhammersley

Well I agree on that part but just because there on top now doesnt mean there always going to be on top and I guarantee you they (WWE) will have the same fate as WCW. With RAW already going 3 hours and everything else, all the ratings in the world will not save Vince McMahon.

            • GhostDistortion

Nope, will never happen. WWE is the NFL equivalent and TNA is lucky to be the equivalent of arena ball.

            • tedhammersley

You are so wrong and your in denial. Its all good, just do your research and your realize that im right. WWE RAW is going 3 hours, their average is 3.0 and their ratings are going below the 3.0 mark. Which means they are the equivalent to WCW in 2000. See I do my research, im sorry but that WWE is going down, its an inevitable fact.

            • GhostDistortion

Keep dreaming Ted. There were a lot of things that contributed to the fall of WCW, low ratings were just a product of horrible mismanagement and in fighting. WWE doesn’t seem to have those problems. Don’t get me wrong, there are some things that I would change about WWE but the bottom line is that they are not going anywhere. I think you need to do some more research before you start claiming that your theories have validity. You are talking about a handful of episodes that draw low ratings, typically due to NBA playoffs, the NFL, etc. Also they haven’t even went three hours yet and if it fails then they’ll just go back to two hours. The bottom line Ted is that what you call “research” is simply nothing more than assumption, overgeneralizing, and wishful thinking. I personally don’t think you have the slightest clue what research is. How many people did you poll, what was your target population when you did it? Also how long have you conducted this research?

              Wake up Ted, you’re dreaming.

            • tedhammersley

Hahaha funny, just wait, im not going to sit here and argue with some dumbass who doesnt have the slightest clue about the wrestling business, im going to sit here and laugh because this is the same conversation that another dumbass was having in 1998 about WCW. Ive been to pro wrestling school and I wrestle on the independents. It may not be the big leagues but atleast ive actually been in the ring. So therefore I have a little more room to talk. See I have a real job im not going and asking for autographs and claiming I have some insight on how WWE works because the reality is you dont know shit. Your nothing more then a mark!

            • GhostDistortion

I too have a real job Ted, you’re a mark for yourself. We don’t have to argue you see somebody probably said the WWE was dead after the McMahon steroid trial, somebody said WWE was dead when WCW was killing them in the ratings, and so on and so on. Dude, congratulations that you actually wrestle. I’m sure one day you’ll be a big big star. I don’t ask for autographs either douche. I’m sure you have some video of your matches or a promo somewhere, let’s see it. I’m also sure that every dude that jumps into the ring is suddenly an expert. You don’t have to be a horse before you can know something about horse training, guy. I’ve been watching pro wrestling for 26 years. I don’t claim to be an expert, and I never did, but what I do claim to know is that the WWE is not going anywhere. History has shown that it will survive. It’s the oldest living wrestling promotion with any validity. The NWA is the oldest, but what are they now, nothing. WWE will be here. I don’t even know why you’re so bent out of shape about it. It’s just another place for people to work. If you know so much about the business you would hope that it survives and be glad that it survives because it’s the only promotion anyone can make a living in. If it wasn’t then why did CM Punk, American Dragon, Claudio Castagnoli, Chris Hero, and thousands of other indy guys spend their whole lives trying to get there? Personally I prefer the Indy’s to WWE, it’s more intersting to me because there really isn’t any restriction on them. Hell, I prefer FCW to WWE, but you need to get a clue dude. WWE is king, end of story.

            • andrew_wrestling101

You guys are arguing over a company thats terrible in everything and even worse in the wrestling aspect. Ted id have to say you both are right but for ‘Ghost Distortion” you are a mark and your a wwe sheep and thats cool. So were sorry for taking up your time- now you can go back to masturbating to john cena.

            • GhostDistortion

If you noticed I never said I liked WWE. All I siad was that it’s not going anywhere. I don’t like Cena and I’m not a WWE fan. You should read the whole thing before you jump to conclusions based on excerpts. I only watch FCW, ROH, Chikara and some WWE, once in a blue moon I’ll watch bits and pieces of TNA.

            • andrew_wrestling101

So once in a blue moon you watch the best company in america, well congratulations

            • GhostDistortion

That’s your opinion and you’re welcome to it. I’m glad somebody gets enjoyment out of TNA. I just prefer other shows. I think FCW offers some of the best wrestling and CHIKARA provides the only true alternative to sports entertainment. ROH is just ROH but they are on their way out it seems. I haven’t watched TNA regularly since ’08 and watched even more sporadically as time went on. They just don’t impress me anymore, but back in ’05 and ’06 I really thought they could be something but then they shifted to a sports entertainment type of thing and tried to drum up ratings with old hacks that really should have hung it up years ago. I’m still a fan of some of their wrestlers which is why I tune in sporadically but for the most part I just don’t dig it anymore.
If you can’t understand that then I don’t know what else to say because I don’t masturbate to Cena and I don’t know why every one seems to think that people that watch WWE are 12 and only like John Cena. I actually only watch it for CM Punk, American Dragon, etc. I’m also a fan of Bray Wyatt, Claudio Castagnoli, Chris Hero, and Jon Moxley. I hope WWE promotes all of them on TV. The thing that bothers me about TNA is that they had opportunities to book many of those guys, as well as other great Indy stars but instead they spend their money on guys like Hogan, Sting, Flair, Scott Steiner, etc. I don’t care about that so if that’s what they push then why would I watch it?

            • Kindred1313

WWE is the NFL equivalent, TNA = Canadian Football League

      • ……

….I’m sure it was a fascinating read but damn…
        1) your first sentence was dumb
        2) you wrote a book…
How is it that TNA getting a HOF is equal to TNA copying WWE?!
That’s like saying all television shows copy big screen movies because Movies were out first and used actors first…get real bud…
I’m a WWE guy lets get that strait but it always gets on my nerves when ppl insist on shitting on something other than their preferred “thing”.
TNA needs a Hall Of Fame because they have dedicated hard working originals specific to their brand of wrestling that deserve to be given respect for their accomplishments PERIOD…Damn now it looks like I’m writing the book……

        • GhostDistortion

Yep, maybe you should keep your shit to a couple of sentences if you already have problems reading other people’s stuff.

          • ……

            You mad bro?

        • Kindred1313

“How is it that TNA getting a HOF is equal to TNA copying WWE?!” REALLY your going to comment on some ones “dumb” first sentience but then go with that one LMAO

          • ……

Ya actually…could have been worded better i agree but the fact remains that just because one company has a hall of fame doesn’t mean that every1 else is copying them when they finally decide to get one…

    • zzzzz

Tna is just copying wwe and there going to put people in their garbage hall of fame to jeep wrestlers in tna. The whole purpose of a hall of fame is to acknowledge the retired wrestlers in there industry. Not people still wrestling. I mean all there people still wrestle who mad the company big for the most part.

      • andrew_wrestling101

learn how to type and by the way WWE is going down and TNA is rising, now you can go back to whacking off to john cena you douchebag.

    • ELHAG

GhostDistortion I COULD NOT AGREE WITH YOU MORE YOU SAID ALL WHAT IS THERE TO SAY

      • GhostDistortion

Thanks for the reply. Perhaps one day Dixie will actually listen to the fans rather than lie and just say she does.

    • Sicker in the head

I don’t mind all the fuss between WWE and TNA. But what I do mind is that that MILF just isn’t in my bed right now.

    • mistico

    • http://www.facebook.com/ieddiem Eddie Mcvain

joey ryan is nothing more than a cheap no talent knock off of ravishing rick rude. His attitude is garbage.

    • CM Drunk

I get you want to appreciate your mediocre wrestlers but at least call it something different like wall of fame?
