More On Undertaker’s Streak Ending: Plans Changed Last Minute

Posted by Matt Boone April 24, 2014 12 Comments

Despite reports to the contrary, it was not Undertaker’s decision to end his legendary undefeated streak at WrestleMania XXX this year. The belief, however, is that if he didn’t want to end the streak, he could have put up a fight and it probably wouldn’t have happened. Regardless, Vince McMahon made the call to have Brock Lesnar win the match.

Another interesting note is that the original plan for the match was for Undertaker to go over, however a few days before the show, McMahon changed his mind. The feeling is that McMahon knew of Undertaker’s physical condition and the chance that this was going to be his last match, and decided that if the streak was ever going to be broken, it was now or never.

As far as Undertaker’s reaction, as previously reported, there are conflicting reports. One friend of his said that he had to be talked into it, while another person who would likely know, said that he didn’t argue the decision at all.

Last minute or not, it was the right decision.

He obviously thought it was the best thing to do. It simply wouldn’t have happened otherwise.

Someone like Sting or Dryan Daniels should of ended it not Putz Lesner !! & The Hayman continus bragging is gettig old !!! But @ least it wasn’t Cena that would of been a slap in Takers face. As I’ve said before i like Cena as a wrestler & person but so tired of the Super Cena crap. You can telll the “we love Cena” chants are mainly kiddies & woman & the “Cena sucks” are mainly men. But it’s good that he can joke about it !!

“Daniel Bryan” shouldn’t have ended the streak. You don’t give the streak to somebody like him. Lesnar’s the kind of guy who deserves that accolade. Not the goat champion.

        Dryan Banielson.

Why are you bitching about lesnar ending the streak though?

I don’t care that Taker’s streak ended, I care the way they went about it. That match was absolutely terrible. Brock Lesnar made that match look like shit. He was going easy on Taker and it was way too obvious to the crowd. Lesnar can’t sell a damn move, he over exaggerated everything. The match was slow and boring and it is a damn shame that it ended the way it did. I also don’t think Lesnar deserved to end it. He isn’t even a real wrestler. Not to me, at least. Taker knew it’d be his last match. He personally requested to work with Bryan at Mania. I think it was because he knew this would be his last Mania and he wanted to go out with a hell of a bout, and a guy like Bryan could provide that type of match. Lesnar couldn’t.
