WWE Champion C.M. Punk appeared on FOX DC on Monday to promote tonight’s RAW from the Verizon Center. CM Punk, who was arguably the most high-profile member of the WWE locker room that was unhappy about The Rock returning to WWE, said he now feels differently about the situation.
“The Rock has proved me wrong, and him coming back is great.”
Since his views on The Rock have changed in the past several weeks, he is going to take a “wait and see” attitude before commenting on Brock Lesnar’s return to the company.
“Brock, unfortunately, has that cloud over his head of him kind of cracking under the pressure of being WWE Champion and splitting before, so we’ll have to wait and see what he does.”
Punk also talked about bridging the gap between ‘old school’ wrestlers and today’s generation and talks about a potential dream match against WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. The media stop was also to promote the Extreme Rules 2012 PPV at the end of the month.
