WWE Blocking TNA from Arenas?, WWE Possibly Inducting MSG

Posted by Matt Boone February 6, 2013 8 Comments

- WWE will be inducting a celebrity into this year’s Hall of Fame class. There was actually talk of inducting Madison Square Garden as a building. This year’s class will be larger than usual.

– With TNA Impact Wrestling taking their show on the road, WWE has began contacting a number of major arenas to put holds on them for future dates. At least one person within WWE thinks that if TNA begins going on the road every Thursday, WWE may need to change their touring schedule to Thursday, Friday and Saturday for at least one of the brands.

There is internal talk that WWE will put some arena dates on hold to make sure TNA doesn’t get into them. WWE also may be enforcing some of their non-compete clauses so TNA can’t run in the same buildings they do.

        Doesn’t matter. that’s not WWE’s intent.
WWE wants to snuff out any chance of anything happening.
If a wrestling company does a show at a 15 year olds birthday party, WWE’ll just snuff that out too.
And kill you for calling it “wrestling”

        It’s competition.

Well not really competition Splodeydope. Legitimate competition is done on tv and the best product wins. This is corporate bullying.
I recall WWE frequently in the past ten years saying that competition was good for the business and that they “loved” the fresh competition during the monday night wars.
They want no competition so how are they going to make sure competition never comes up? Not by improving their product but by politics.
Sure one can say that “that’s how business works”. Sure, maybe so. Doesn’t mean that us on the outside we can’t recognize a dick that isn’t even trying to win at his own game.
