WWE.com Says Nash Is Fired – But Is It For Real?

WWE.com posted the following today, and was the top story on the website: “WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Kevin Nash as of Monday, Sept. 5, 2011. We wish Kevin the best in all future endeavors.”

In reality, Nash has not been released from his Legend’s contract, which he was signed to after the Royal Rumble earlier this year. This is just a storyline, and Nash is expected to return at the Night Of Champions PPV to interfere in the CM Punk-HHH match. Nash had not signed a new performer’s contract since his return to TV.

Nash has apparently been telling people he really is released. Here’s what he wrote on Twitter following WWE.com’s storyline announcement:

“To set the record straight, I passed physical w/ flying colors. Cardiologist was amazed at my lipid profile. Couldn’t reach financial terms.

I will not be addressing this matter again. I am moving forward with my life. Cena, it was great having the chance to get to know you.”
