- Vince McMahon acknowledged the delays in the launching of the WWE Networking during Thursday’s quarterly conference call with investors, and said he hopes to make an announcement in three months. “I hope next quarter I will be making an announcement on our Network,” McMahon said.

- Also at the conference call, Vince McMahon put over the new ION show, which debuts in October. Vince said that it will give WWE a new audience that they aren’t reaching now.

Wwe network will never happen. And vince says the show on ion will reach new people, yeah the 10 people that watch the ion channel. Vince your failing in your old age, time to let hhh take over everything. And hopefully instead of wwe sucking a lot it will just suck a little.

vince is losing his mind the older vince gets the more crazy he becomes thats why wwe gets worse over time
Shane McMahon needs to take over wwe thats the only way wwe will ever go back to the attitude era and at least go back to tv-14

On one hand, I respect Vince for being so ballsy as to try this. On the other hand, like everyone else has said on here, he’s deluded if he thinks it’s going to make WWE expand.

Anything that isn’t related to wrestling that’s been tried by WWE is pretty much a failure, always critically, almost always financially. The only people who will tune in regular will be diehard WWE fans, and it’s hard to imagine there are many who love WWE so much that they’ll want to watch non-wrestling programming all the time.

I know they want wrestling on it, but why bother? Most of their video catalogue is plastered all over the internet, and without a premium to watch, it should be said.

I also remember Vince saying that he wanted scripted TV programs; if he intends to keep with the PG rating, that means family friendly, and that usually relates to child-friendly programming, which is generally dire, not a good sign.

All in all, it’s hard not to feel they’re setting themselves up for a fall.
