Los Matadores vs. The Real Americans

Los Matadores come out first with El Torito. The Real Americans, with Zeb Colter, are out next. Colter’s got a mic and he says it’s funny that tonight is called Hell in a Cell, because their opponents belong in cells because they’re criminals, and about 80 percent of the crowd probably is too. Zeb also calls out Torito, saying he assaulted and attacked a United States war veteran in Colter. He’s embarrassed that they have to breathe the same air as these three tonight, and that’s no bull. Colter concludes by asking us to put our hands over our hearts, and in a loud clear voice repeat, “we…the people.” With that said, the match begins.

Diego and Cesaro start for their respective teams. Diego attempts to use his speed against Cesaro, scoring with a couple of quick head scissors. Diego ends up caught though, when Cesaro tosses him to the outside, and tags out to Swagger. Swagger hits a spear on the floor before bringing things back into the ring and hitting a Swagger bomb. Cesaro tags in and hits a nice senton for two. Cesaro backs Diego into his own corner and tags out to Swagger who hits a series of knees to the gut and a short-arm clothesline. Cesaro tags back in and clamps on a rear chin lock. Diego fights out of the hold, and backdrops an interfering Swagger to the floor. Cesaro catches the other Matadore with a big boot.

Cesaro traps Diego with the giant swing. Cesaro spins Diego around at least thirty times, pinning Diego for two, but it’s broken up. Cesaro is caught with an enzugiri, and both men make the tag. The other matador tags in and goes to work on Swagger, hitting him with a flurry of offense that ends with a huge DDT. Things are broken up by Cesaro. Back in the ring, Swagger launches himself into Diego’s knee, and clamps on the ankle lock. Diego fights out of it. Then they get the finish, with both Los Matadores’ scoring a double face buster. 1-2-3. Los Matadores pick up the victory.

Winners: Los Matadores

After The Match:

Colter is in the ring on his heads and knees crying. Los Matadores see him and they toss El Torito into a head scissors on Cesaro. Zeb is thrown to the floor. Torito comes off the top and dives to the outside on Swagger. Los Matadores and El Torito celebrate their win to end this match officially.

World Heavyweight Championship:
-Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. John Cena

After they re-air the long video package documenting John Cena’s road to recovery, we head back inside the arena for our World Heavyweight Championship match. Out first is the champion, Alberto Del Rio. Out next is the challenger, John Cena, who receives an enormous reaction, and actually a mostly positive one. Still some boo’s mixed in there, but it sounded on television to be around 80/20 in favor of cheers. Lilian Garcia formerly introduces Cena, and then introduces Del Rio in Spanish. The positive reaction for Cena didn’t last long, as we already have our first “let’s go Cena, Cena sucks” dueling chants from the fans in the American Airlines Arena.

The bell rings and Cena goes right for a side headlock. Del Rio goes right for the arm, backing Cena into the ropes. Cena rolls to the outside and adjusts the padding on his arm. Cena gets back into the ring and takes Del Rio over with a headlock to the mat. Del Rio fights to his feet and out of the hold, but falls to a shoulder block. Del Rio tries to go for Cena in the corner, but Cena gets into the ropes to back Del Rio away. Del Rio catches Cena with a kick to the gut, and a series of right hands, then a couple of big stomps to the chest. Cena goes in with some punches and a running bulldog, but he’s kickd in the chest, then dropkicked to the apron. Del Rio charges in and kicks Cena in the shoulder, sending him to the floor. Del Rio heads out after Cena and slams his arm into the ring steps. Del Rio brings things back into the ring and kicks Cena in the ribs, then charges in with a big kick to the head. Cena is able to turn things around with a drop toe hold, but Del Rio comes up with a giant German suplex that’s good for a two count.

Alberto Del Rio continues to work over the arm of Cena, even when Cena makes it into the ropes. Cena stands to his feet, and rolls over, sending Del Rio across the ring. Cena follows with a drop kick, but he runs right into a big back elbow. Del Rio charges in with a big stomp to the chest, then he goes to the top rope, leaping off with a sloppy forearm that’s good for two. Del Rio goes right back into an arm bar, stretching Cena’s shoulder. Cena is able to fight up to his feet and out of the hold, but Del Rio kicks the back of Cena’s leg and chokes him in the ropes. Del Rio charges in, but he misses Cena and slips through the ropes, falling to the floor. Del Rio catches Cena’s throat across the top rope. Del Rio heads to the top and leaps off into a big kick from Cena. Cena hits Del Rio with a couple of shoulder blocks and a big belly to back suplex, before following up with the five knuckle shuffle. Cena shoulders Del Rio, but Del Rio fights out and hits the backstabber, which is good for two. Cena misses a splash in the corner, but hits an elbow, and a tornado DDT from the second rope for two. Cena rolls out to the apron and heads to the top rope. Del Rio stops Cena cold with an enzugiri that sends him crashing to the mat.

Del Rio gets another two count while Sandow is shown watching on in the back. Del Rio backs into the corner and waits for Cena to stand. Del Rio misses another enzugiri, and Cena shoulders Del Rio. Del Rio fights out and hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for another two count. Del Rio seats Cena on the top turnbuckle and traps him in the tree of woe, kicking him in the chest. Del Rio charges in, and Cena sits up. Del Rio crashes head first into the corner turnbuckle. Cena heads up to the top, and Cena leaps off with a big cross body that’s good for two. Cena goes for Del Rio, and Del Rio drops down with Cena’s arm across his knees. Del Rio tries for the cross arm breaker, but Cena counters into the STF and Del Rio struggles to the ropes. Del Rio makes it to the ropes and Cena is forced to break the hold.

The two exchange a few turns as having the momentum on their side offensively, until another series of submissions and reverals leads to the finish. Del Rio locks in the Cross Armbreaker again on Cena. He takes the padding off of Cena’s arm, which apparently makes the move hurt worse, at least according to the announcers. Cena powers his way out, picking Del Rio up, while still in the Cross Armbreaker. This leads to Cena hitting the Attitude Adjustment on Del Rio. Cena covers Del Rio. Cena gets 1. Cena gets 2. Centa gets 3. We have a new World Heavyweight Champion, Cena’s third time holding this particular title. No cash-in by Damien Sandow either, so it’s official. Cena celebrates a bit and eventually heads to the back with his new title belt.

Winner and NEW World Heavyweight Champion: John Cena

WWE Divas Championship:
-AJ Lee vs. Brie Bella

After checking in with the expert panel from the Kickoff Show once more, who talk about Cena’s victory in the previous match, as well as previewing the upcoming match, we head back to the ring. It’s WWE Divas Championship action with AJ Lee, who comes to the ring with Tamina Snuka, against Brie Bella, who comes to the ring with Nikki Bella. AJ picks Brie up for a big neck breaker, then skips around the ring with a big smile on her face. AJ picks Brie up and kicks her in the stomach, but runs right into a knee to the gut. AJ traps Brie in a guillotine choke, dropping Brie down to the mat.

Bella fights out of the move and then hits a missile dropkick to send AJ flying across the ring. Brie charges in with a couple of big dropkicks, and a sloppy clothesline that’s good for two. Brie sends AJ into the corner and runs into a big boot. AJ sends Brie crashing face first into the turnbuckle. AJ tries for the black widow, but Brie fights out. AJ goes for a roll up, but Brie counters into a half-crab. Nikki and Tamina get into on the outside while AJ makes it into the ropes. The finish comes when Tamina Snuka jumps on the apron for the distraction. Brie runs at her with a running knee, but ends up hitting her sister Nikki instead. This allows AJ to wrap Brie up from behind with the Black Widow, which forces the tap out. AJ retains the Divas Championship.

Winner and STILL WWE Divas Champion: AJ Lee

Backstage: Prime Time Players & Bob Backlund

Backstage, The Prime Time Players are shown playing WWE 2K14. In walks WWE Hall Of Famer Bob Backlund. Backlund yells at them like a maniac about how kids need to read and write, not play video games. Titus O’Neil tells them they have a chance to become immortal through the video game. O’Neil asks if Backlund knows how to dance. Backlund crazily says he does, and does a whacky dance. Then all three do the “Millons of Dollars” dance together.
