WWE released the following statement today regarding criticism over Lana’s performance at WWE Battleground on Sunday night.

“Last night’s segment during WWE’s Battleground event was in no way referring to the Malaysia Airlines tragedy. The storyline with characters Rusev and Lana has been a part of WWE programming for more than 3 months. WWE apologizes to anyone who misunderstood last night’s segment and was offended.”

If anyone watched last night, it was obvious that she was talking about the plane going down, saying that it wasn’t Russia’s fault, but instead the USA’s. They went a little far with the segment, but she can deliver.

Dunno what the fuss is about. She’s a heel. She’s supposed to say things to get a negative reaction. Job done. (Was probably entirely scripted anyway)

Last time that happened Abraham Washington got fired. While she’s a heel and has to garner heat, somethings are literally better left unsaid.
