Recap Of Evolution’s Return
This week’s show opens up with highlights of what transpired last week with Evolution and The Shield. After that, we shoot live into the arena where Michael Cole welcomes us to WWE RAW live from Baltimore, Maryland.
Daniel Bryan, Brie Bella, Stephanie McMahon & Kane
Following the quick introduction, Daniel Bryan’s music hits and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion makes his way to the ring to a loud “Yes!” chant from the Baltimore fans. When he enters the ring, his new bride, Brie Bella, is already in the ring. The two lead the fans in another “Yes!” chant.
As Bella hugs Bryan, Stephanie McMahon’s music hits. Stephanie makes her way to the ring. Stephanie gets on the mic and says she couldn’t resist to take this moment to congratulate the two of them. She “sincerely and genuinely” congratulates him for winning the title and marrying the love of his life in the same week. Stephanie says she and the WWE wanted to give him a wedding present. That present is that he will be defending his title against “the devil’s favorite demon” Kane. She warns Bryan that he should get his pretty little wife out of the way.
Kane’s fire pyro explodes and his music hits. Stephanie gets on the mic and tells Kane that now is not the time nor the place. Bryan helps Brie get out of the ring and out of harm’s way. Kane appears through the crowd — with his mask on — and grabs him by the throat. Stephanie orders him to let him go, but Bryan instead starts fighting back with punches.
Kane knocks Bryan out of the way and focuses his attention on Brie. Stephanie yells at Brie to run and get away. Bryan starts attacking Kane again, long enough to allow Brie to get out of dodge. Kane gains the upper-hand on Bryan again. He picks him up for a Tombstone piledriver on the floor. Stephanie yells “No” at Kane, but he does it anyway. Stephanie then tells Kane that that’s enough.
Kane, however, is not finished. He pulls the top half of the steel steps off. He scoops Bryan up and hits him with another Tombstone piledriver on the bottom half of the steps. Stephanie yells “No” again, but he does it anyways. Stephanie calls for the EMTs to come attend to Bryan as Kane stands over him. The EMTs come out and attend to him as the fans break out in a supportive “Daniel Bryan” chant. The EMTs put Bryan in a neck brace and then loads him up on the stretcher. Stephanie looks ahead with a worried look on her face.
Kane comes back and pushes the EMTs off of Bryan and then pushes the stretcher over. Kane drags Bryan over to the announce table as Stephanie screams at him to stop. Kane clears off the announce table. Stephanie continues to scream “no” and “stop” to Kane, but he continues to ignore her. He grabs Bryan and puts him on the table. He climbs up on the table himself. Kane hits a third Tombstone piledriver on Bryan on top of the table, but the table doesn’t break.
Stephanie yells at Kane again, calling him a “bastard.” Kane looks over at Bryan, who is laid out on top of the table and shaking. Michael Cole is freaking out on commentary at what Kane just did to Bryan. As Kane finally walks off, the EMTs rush over to Bryan to attend to him again. They put the neck brace back on him and as that is going on, we cut to a commercial.
When we return from commercial, the EMTs are loading Bryan back onto the stretcher. Brie Bella is back at his side. JBL on commentary says he hasn’t made one move the entire commercial. Stephanie McMahon, meanwhile, picks up the titles in the ring in the background. Jerry Lawler introduces us to what just went down with Kane and Bryan prior to the break.
As Daniel Bryan is rolled up the ramp on the stretcher, Stephanie McMahon says into the mic, “ladies and gentlemen let’s have a very warm reception for the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan.” Some more highlights of Kane’s attack of Bryan are shown.

He says it’s not quite as bad as the news Daniel Bryan just got and then talks about how despite people thinking there’s such thing as “luck of the Irish,” his opponent tonight, Sheamus, isn’t going to beat Bad News Barrett. Out next is his opponent in this second-round tournament match, Sheamus.

Sheamus goes for his clubs, but Barrett fights off with back elbows.

Bray Wyatt Promo
When we return from commercial, Bray Wyatt and the rest of The Wyatt Family come out to the top of the stage. Wyatt says tonight is a good night for change. He says “they” screwed up, because they left the power in your hands. He says tonight you will get to make a choice. Wyatt says at Extreme Rules two monsters will enter the cage.
He says on this night, however, it doesn’t matter which two monsters enter the ring, things will be different. He says “they” do not love John Cena anymore. He says everytime he and Cena cross paths, more and more switch over to Wyatt’s side. He asks if they will sing with me. He sings “he’s got the whole world in his hands,” as the fans sing along. We head to another commercial break.
