Backstage Segment: John Cena, Randy Orton, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon & Kane

Backstage, John Cena is having his arm iced down by a trainer as Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Kane are standing around him. Randy Orton walks up with the WWE Title. Cena says “it looks like you got some stuff to do” and walks off. Orton, seeming jealous of the attention Cena is getting, and fearing his “face of WWE” status is in jeopardy, walks off angrily.

WWE Title
- Randy Orton (c) vs. Big Show

Big Show’s music hits and out comes “The World’s Largest Athlete.” He looks excited and happy to be here, clapping hands with fans as he makes his way to the ring. The WWE Champion Randy Orton’s music hits and out he comes, cautiously making his way to the ring. The announcers are putting over the fact that there is not allowed to be any interference in tonight’s WWE Championship match. Rumors on the internet seem to indicate that there will be some sort of “screwjob” finish in this one. Let’s see what happens.

The bell rings and Justin Roberts, who has been trading off with Lilian Garcia for ring announcing duties tonight (Tony Chimel as well I believe) does his official introductions for the main event. He introduces Big Show first, followed by the current WWE Champion Randy Orton. The crowd cheers Big Show and boo’s Orton. Referee Charles Robinson holds the title up to show everyone what these two are fighting for. The bell rings again and now our 2013 Survivor Series main event begins.

As soon as the bell rings, Orton runs out to the floor. He rolls back in and kicks and punches Big Show, but Big Show just powers him into the corner. Big Show goes for a big chop but Orton ducks. He drops to the ground and goes to roll outside the ring again. This time, however, he gets caught up on the bottom rope. The crowd laughs at Orton for getting tripped up in the ropes. He tries pounding away quickly at Big Show, but Big Show muscles his way back up and manhandles Orton. Big Show beats up Orton for a few seconds before Orton rolls to the floor again.

Big Show reaches over the top and tries grabbing Orton, but Orton grabs Big Show’s arm and drops down to the floor, smashing it over the top rope. He rolls back in thinking he’s got things under control finally, but Big Show again goes right back to work on Orton. The crowd starts chanting “Daniel Bryan, Daniel Bryan” out of nowhere. Big Show chops the hell out of Orton in the corner. And again. The crowd chants “one more time, one miore time.” Big Show smiles and obliges. Orton nails Big Show with a dropkick out of nowhere as we see a closeup of the welts on Orton’s chest from Big Show’s chops. Orton finally has Big Show grounded and is laying the boots to the big man.

Orton tries a pin on Big Show but only gets two. Orton slaps a front facelock on Big Show to keep the giant down. Big Show ends up powering back to his feet anyways. Orton moves around to Big Show’s back as Big Show stands up and he now has Big Show in a standing sleeper-hold. The crowd starts a loud “boring, boring” chant. Big Show drops to his back with Orton still on him to break the sleeper-hold. A loud “we want Bryan chant” breaks out. Big Show clotheslines Orton down. And again. Big Show whips Orton into the corner and splashes him. Big Show calls for the chokeslam. The crowd seems to be turning on Big Show, realizing the match quality isn’t what they were hoping. Orton rolls out to the floor.

Out on the floor, Big Show whips Orton back-first into the ringside steps. And again. Big Show throws Orton back in the ring at the count of five. Big Show looks at the top rope. Big Show climbs to the top rope. Orton blasts Big Show with a kick while he’s up there. Big Show is seated on the top rope now. Orton grabvs Big Show and nails him with his draping DDT spot off the top. For some reason, the crowd boo’s anyways. Orton feeds into the boo’s, throwing up a biceps pose. Orton drops down and beats the mat, signaling The Viper and calling for the RKO. Big Show gets up and instead of Orton hitting the RKO, Big Show catches him and nails him with the chokeslam, 1-2-…Orton kicks out.

Orton is laid on the gorund now. Big Show calls for the Knockout Punch. Orton sees it coming and rolls out to the floor. Big Show goes out to the floor after Orton. Orton recovers and almost nails Big Show with his draping DDT spot over the barricade, but Big Show avoids it. Big Show blasts Orton with the Knockout Punch. Orton is down on the floor now.

Big Show grabs Orton and drags his lifeless body back into the ring. Meanwhile, referee Charles Robinson has recovered. Big Show goes to step back into the ring and Triple H’s music hits. Big Show turns to see what’s going on and out comes Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Kane. They just stand there. Big Show turns around and Orton catches him with the RKO. The crowd starts chanting “Daniel Bryan” randomly once again. Big Show is down and Orton is still getting his barrings about him. Orton is now setting Big Show up for the punt. He runs and blasts Big Show with the punt. 1-2-3. Orton wins and retains the WWE Championship. The Authority are shown standing at the top of the ramp applauding Orton’s victory.

Winner and STILL WWE Champion: Randy Orton

After The Match

The Authority walks to the ring still applauding Orton’s win. The referee hands Orton the WWE title. Orton hugs the belt and stands up. We see some highlights via replay of the match as the announcers bitch and complain about The Authority distracting Big Show and costing him the WWE Championship. It’s only 10:42 as I’m writing this, I don’t think this is over quite yet. John Cena’s music hits. Out comes Cena. Cena holds up the World Heavyweight Championship. Cena comes down holding his World Title proudly. He stops in between Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. He runs into the ring. Cena and Orton stare at each other holding their titles. Orton seems confused as to what’s going on. So do the announcers. Both guys stand in front of each other holding their titles up. It’s 10:43pm E.T. / 7:43pm P.T. and we go off the air on that note.
